My Denver ClassPass Adventure

A few weekends ago, I made my way out to Denver to visit a few friends of mine. Both girls are in my wedding so it was fun to catch up with them and have girl time. While I was out there, I naturally took advantage of my ClassPass Flex and scouted some local studios. Denver is such a fun city–the people are active and feel so alive.

Friday:

Friday morning we got up bright and early and headed downtown. We explored Union Station and had lunch at Protein Bar. I got the Buffalo Bowl & a Kombucha. I can see why the concept is such a huge hit. The food was good, healthy and fast. My only complaint is that my portion was super tiny and I’m a hungry girl.

After lunch we cruised over to a local art fair and shopped around. I bought a few crystals from a vendor that are now in some of my succulent pots at home. I have a thing for amethyst.

The first thing on my fitness agenda was Fierce45. I talked to all my Denver buddies and asked some of the CP Ambassadors and it was unanimous that this was THE place for us to go for boutique fitness.

Fierce45 is a 45 minute small group fitness studio with 10 MegaFormer machines offering full-body workouts via the Lagree Fitness Method. This workout incorporates slow and controlled movements, continuous tension, quick transitions and is super low impact. Much like how I feel at Body Lab, the class was tough! The only difference is the MegaFormer they use is smaller than at Body Lab.

The studio itself is super cute. They had tons of merchandise for sale (I may have bought some leggings!) and they sold Boxed Water, which was a fun touch. The room itself was coated with chalkboard paint so that clients could write fun motivational messages on the wall.

The key with MegaFormer is repetition. I don’t go often so when I do, I usually look like a huge wimp. The workout can be heavy on the legs and my tight runner legs stumble through this workout every time.

I finished my evening with friends at Avanti–a super cool new(ish) food mall that overlooks downtown Denver.

Saturday:

We got up early and headed over to Stowaway Coffee & Kitchen, the Aussie inspired breakfast joint. It was so cute and extra delicious. I got the Welcome to Colorful Colorado dish without ham.

Post brunch we headed to the mountains to get in a good hike. We stopped near Jones Pass to hike Hassle Lake. This hike wasn’t too difficult and had amazing views (even a few waterfalls), just make sure and bring bug spray. It got brutal.

We ended the night at a Block Party and enjoyed a potluck BBQ.

Sunday:

Sunday morning I got up early and explored RiNo. This area is up and coming and reminds me a lot of the Crossroads in downtown Kansas City. The streets are filled with art and graffiti. Naturally I took a few pics to post on my Insta.

Shortly after I popped in QiFLow. Here they offer three unique programs: QiYoga, QiFLOW and QiFlow Fusion classes. I’ve heard really good things about their cycling but for a Sunday, I stuck with yoga. It was just what I needed too. A good combination of vinyasa, core, strength and meditation. Compared to other vinyasa classes I’ve taken, we used a lot of props; blocks, bolster, and straps.

I headed out around 4pm and was back in Kansas City before dinnertime.

I had such a fun time exploring Denver. I usually only get to see the city in the fall/winter so experiencing it in the summer was extra cool. Have something I should do next time? Tell me in the comment section below!
